RIPs Safety
My name is Bernard Falgoust and I am the owner of RIPs Safety Training & Consulting, LLC. I started RIPs in January of 1999 with the vision of providing safety and medical training to our local area.
My vision changed shortly afterwards when I stared receiving requests to provide a variety of medical training to the industries in the River Parish area. Our course offerings expanded to include: First Aid; CPR; Emergency Medical Responder; Emergency Medical Technician; Emergency Response; Emergency Response Drills; Bloodborne Pathogens; to name a few. Our service area now covers the States of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
Our customer list includes over 100 large companies to volunteer and municipal agencies. Some of our customers are Fortune 500 companies while others are small “Mom & Pop” companies. No matter what the size of the company, our goal is to provide the same quality service at an affordable price.
My goal and vision has always been to “provide a quality program meeting or exceeding the needs of the regulatory requirements while tailoring the program to the needs of our customers.” Give RIPs a try, you will not be disappointed.

For over 35 years, Bernard has been involved with Emergency Medical Services. He began his career in EMS as a volunteer Emergency Medical Responder with the local Volunteer Fire Department. Shortly thereafter, Bernard obtained his EMT training and became a Nationally Registered EMT.

At the age of 16, Trent aspired to emulate his grandfather and began volunteering at Chackbay Volunteer Fire Department. Over 15 years, he progressed up the ranks to Assistant Fire Chief while providing a steadfast dedication to emergency medical services (EMS).

Today we recognize Eric Chiasson Eric has been with Rips for 23 years and has taken the lead of our Confined Space and High Angle Rescue Trainings. The day after graduating high school, Eric was witness to a cardiac arrest and recalls feeling totally helpless in the situation. Following the event, he took effort to becoming a first responder and then an EMT.

Dr. Bart Denys
Medical Director
Dr. Denys is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and interventional cardiology. He is also a diplomate in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
